Anna Naud has spent her entire career working with businesses to plan - and stay on - legal course while journeying towards their true north™.
Anna earned a Bachelor of Arts (double honours English and Media Information and Technoculture, Scholar's Electives Program with distinction) in 2001, and a Bachelor of Laws in 2004, both from Western University (London, Ontario).
Anna articled with a national Bay Street firm in Toronto, Ontario until she was called to the Ontario Bar in July 2004. Anna gained valuable experience as an associate in the corporate / commercial practice group of such firm until September 2013 when she moved her practice closer to home and joined one of the largest firms in the Durham Region, Ontario.
Through True North Law Professional Corporation - launched by Anna on January 1, 2022 - Anna continues to provide corporate and commercial legal services that offer efficient, creative, and tailored solutions.
Anna represents Federal and Ontario sole proprietorships, small, medium, and large sized for-profit businesses (start-up or established, in all industries, including franchisees), non-profit organizations, registered Canadian charities, Special Act corporations, and social clubs.
Anna is the proud mom of two teenage daughters and two fluffy french bulldogs, an avid traveller, and an enthusiastic tap dancer.
Tinju Thomas is a Business Lawyer with practice experience in India and Bahrain. She represents both for-profit and non-profit corporations, focusing primarily on general corporate commercial law, corporate advisory, and private equity.
Throughout her career, Tinju has provided legal counsel across a wide range of industries, including hospitality, education, healthcare, retail, wholesale, real estate, investment banking, religious institutions and more. With a strong interest in technological innovation, Tinju is keen on developing a startup practice.
Tinju earned her law degree from Christ College of Law in Bangalore, India. She further specialized in Securities and Financial Regulation Law at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. She later joined a leading international law firm in India, where she successfully managed cross-border investment transactions for diverse investors, including prominent US-based fund houses. Following this, she joined her family’s corporate practice in Bahrain, where she spearheaded a practice area supporting startups. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she also provided essential estate planning guidance to expatriates and foreign businesses in Bahrain, helping safeguard inheritances and expediting legal processes for grieving families.
In Toronto, Tinju was nominated to the Non-Profit By-Law Committee of a not-for-profit corporation to assist in its transition under the new Ontario Not-for-Profit Corporations Act. Her involvement deepened her understanding and interest in non-profit governance and compliance.
Tinju is dual-qualified, having been called to the Bar in India in 2011 and to the Ontario Bar in 2024.
