True North Scholarships

We recognize that there is more we can do to support our local and broader communities than just provide legal services.

Post-secondary education is an unachievable goal for many youth. True North Law is committed to expanding access to education.

Established in 2023, the True North Scholarship Fund  offers up to four scholarships each year to youth within Durham Region who have been accepted to a Canadian College or University Program:

1. one youth from the BIPOC community;

2. one youth from the LGBTQIA+ community;

3. one youth from the Franco-Ontarian community; and

4. one youth pursuing legal or business studies.

True North Scholarships awarded to date:

2024 - One scholarship awarded to a future gynecologist. 

2025 - Four scholarships awarded to a future pediatrician, future systems design engineer, future medical researcher, and future musical theatre performer.  

2026 - Five scholarships in the process of being awarded!
